What are the things that can make you happy in your own home? For many people, the answers include a homecooked meal, a comfortable bed, and the sheer bliss of being surrounded by loved ones. The design of our home also plays an important role in inspiring, comforting, and uplifting us everyday.

Nobody knows this better than this American homeowner who comes home to this one-bedroom condo designed by a Filipino design team. The talented Pinoy interior designers created an unexpectedly lavish and glamorous haven using vibrant shades, bold patterns, and metallic details.

Foyer

What's the best way to create a grand entrance to your personal space? In this foyer, the interior designers granted the homeowner's request for black-and-white checkerboard tiles!

To make the foyer stand out even more, a framed Alexandre Charriols painting occupies a place of honor. Beneath it is a Marapi table from Ethan Allen.

Living Area

According to the interior designers, the homeowner also asked for a great room — a living, entertaining, and working area in one. They furnished this space with a Baccarat-inspired chandelier and fully upholstered red and green sofas resting on a black-and-white floor rug.

Both sofas are made more inviting with customized throw pillows covered in fabric designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard of Million Dollar Decorators.

Home Office

Behind the sofa is a timeless work desk paired with a plush tufted armchair with an interesting nailhead trim.

From this part of the great room, we can see that there is another space for resting, relaxing or entertaining. The classic designs of the sofa and armchairs are complemented by the unusual bright blue hue and playful zebra print.

Living Area

This semi-enclosed area is the perfect setting for hosting smaller parties and having intimate conversations. We love the photo wall composed of framed black-and-white pictures of Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman, Marilyn Monroe, Ronald Reagan, and Muhammad Ali.

Kitchen

How can you turn a standard-issue kitchen into something that feels refined and sophisticated? The interior designers replaced the old cabinet doors and countertops! The Shaker-style cabinet doors with black cabinet pulls and synthetic white granite countertops are better choices for this particular space.

Master Bathroom

The master bedroom is fit for a modern-day king. What could feel more regal than the white crown molding, heavy drapes, fully upholstered headboard, and the customized seats? We especially loved the inspired use of rich colors and intricate prints in this personal space.

Walk-in Closet

Since the homeowner lives alone, he had enough space left for a spacious walk-in closet! The open cabinets make it so much easier for him to find his favorite shirts.

This private corner is personalized with a framed Picasso print, a silver side chair, and a bronze side table with geometric cut-outs.

Master Bathroom

The master bathroom originally had more modern elements, including a small walk-in closet and enclosed shower area. To stay true to the classic feel of the bachelor pad, the interior designers completely renovated the space.

The newly transformed space is completed with a customized wooden vanity table with stately Queen Anne legs.
