A Minimalist Philosophy Creates a Cozy, Clutter-Free Home
To create the modern home of their dreams, this family turned to open spaces, ample storage, and minimal design
The Angeles family moved into their second home in Antipolo after realizing they needed more living space. Although it has a bigger space at 210sqm, the two-storey house felt cramped for a brood of their size. Faced with the challenge, the family sought the expertise of interior designer Hannah Acab-Faustino to help them design a home that was spacious, modern, and eye-catching.
The family and the designer agreed on a minimalist scheme to open up the space. Features like vaulted ceilings and a neutral color palette worked together to give the home a light, airy feel. To break the frigidness of a monotonous theme, a number of decorative pieces and personal touches like plants and photographs were added. The result? A home that not only maximizes space but is cozy for a family of six as well.
