After being referred to Magara Designs by a colleague in the United Nations, the owner of this unit immediately messaged design consultant Grace Moslares to discuss her space. The next steps followed swiftly, with the two exchanging notes, photos, and floor plans. Since the unit is quite small and the owner would like to entertain guests while still having privacy, Grace came up with a look that’s functional, inviting, and chic.

Taking into consideration the owner’s lifestyle and the pegs she liked, the unit now has a sleek aesthetic that highlights gold accessories, black-and-white details, and furniture picks that combine practicality and glamour. The best part about this project? It was done even while the owner was abroad for work. Through constant communication, Grace and her team were able to complete a space that both parties would be proud of—after all, a successful designer-client relationship is built on trust and openness.

Living, Kitchen, and Dining Areas

Guests would instantly be captivated by the sleek interiors of the unit. Hints of black and gray dominate the space, while touches of gold, silver, and copper serve as accents. Since the owner loves glamorous must-haves, Grace furnished the living area with classic seating pieces, pretty accessories, and a chandelier, to boot!

Living Area

To complete the living area, Grace used Armani Gray paint on the the walls and white paint for the ceiling to complement the LED lighting. Instead of simply installing the mirrors as is to enlarge the space, the design team framed it with moulding—creating balance and adding depth to the area.

The customized sofa built by the design team is paired with an accent stool with arms, stainless steel accessories, and tables with mirrored legs that hold the decor pieces.

Living Area

To keep the area from being too plain, Grace spruced up the wall with artwork. Soft furnishings and a shag rug in neutral colors make the living area extra inviting and perfect for get-togethers. The mirrored stool can be used to display more decor or hold a tray of refreshments.

Living Area

Grace installed mouldings behind the TV to serve as accent and keep the wall from being dull. Aside from being a conversation starter, these details also help create symmetry and balance in the area.

Living Area

Accessories and decor in copper add sophistication to the living area. Investing in the right accessories can help you achieve elegance in a space without going beyond your budget.

Living Area

If you're looking for ways on how to brighten up a dull corner at home, take inspiration from this simple setup. A framed print or small artwork can get the job done—you can opt for quotes that motivate you or simple reminders that make you smile.

Dining Nook

The dining console that doubles as storage is another customized piece by Magara Designs. A planter turned into wine storage serves as centerpiece, while the compartments below can hold snacks, dinnerware, and other essentials. To complement the furnishings in the living area, Grace used a table runner with gold detail. A pair of metal barstools complete the nook.

Bedroom

To give the owner the privacy she wanted while still allowing light and air to stream into the living, dining, and kitchen areas, the design team installed a low glass partition. Given that the owner only comes home every four months, it's essential that her sleeping space is cozy and relaxing.

A cushioned headboard that follows the color scheme of the pillows define the bed. Comfy sheets that would remind the owner of posh hotels add to the inviting vibe.

Bedroom

Wall-mounted shelves are perfect for displaying collections and favorite things. Meanwhile, the accessories in gold and copper add to the sophisticated feel of the space.

Beside the shelves is the cabinet meant for the owner's clothes, shoes, and other belongings. Grace decorated the doors with wallpaper to soften up the look and add another interesting detail to the area.
