In a sprawling two-hectare family property in Calasiao, Pangasinan stands the modern minimalist home of Maria Kristina Bauzon. Designed by her husband Architect John Paulo Bauzon, it marries the couples' tastes with the vast greens of the lot, not only affording each room of the home a calming and scenic view, but also blending with the wood and stone of the interiors as well as its earthy palettes and natural tones.

“[My] husband wanted to make sure that there is free flow of air and natural light coming in the house,” says Kristina in an email interview with Real Living. “And since we live in a tropical country, he shaped our house as to the movement of the sun.” The structure promises shade no matter the direction of light.
