One look at Charlie and Paula Fernandez’s two-storey home is all it takes to deduce that it’s out of the ordinary. Travelers, birders, crafters, and lovers of the Philippines (among many others things), Charlie and Paula’s nest pretty much reflects all their interests, which are evident the moment you set foot inside their house.

A brick wall adorned with masks from various places bought from their many travels, along with an assortment of antiques is what welcomes you. A few more steps and you’ll find yourself in the living room, a cozy area where banig and baul meet colors and patterns. The dining room is just as multihued and a lot quirkier. Chairs of various designs, patterns, and colors surround the dining table. The kitchen, however, is more subdued but has its own greats: neatly labeled, organized, and DIY-ed to perfection. The couple’s masterful styling and curation can also be seen in the garden, which has colorful beach loungers, a hammock, and some beautiful potted plants.
