The first house that you build, furnish, and decorate will always hold a special place in your heart. Nobody knows this better than real estate broker Mathew Alingarog. Although Mathew and his family have been renovating and selling homes for some time now, this 400sqm property is the first structure that they constructed from scratch. This newly built haven turned out to be the perfect space for a small family of three.

To personalize the already beautiful area, the new homeowners hired Mathew's wife, interior designer Mikki Alingarog, to furnish and decorate the rooms. The result is a bright and vibrant place ideal for them and their loved ones.

Living Area

The living area is furnished with an upholstered sofa from the family's old house. To make the seat even more enticing, the interior designer chose throw pillows with different textures and patterns.

Asian-themed Lotus Art

This Asian-themed lotus art piece is an interesting addition to this plain wall.

Dining Area

Since the husband's favorite color is blue, he loves these customized dining chairs! These seats are paired with a square wooden dining table from Komodo Teak.

This kitchen island is unique because it has a built-in stove and a small dining area. This makes it easier for the homeowner to serve food from pan to plate.

How can you spruce up a drab and dark kitchen area? According to the interior designer of this two-storey house, you can consider installing mosaic tiles.

Photo Wall

The owner took these beautiful photos of Palawan, Boracay, and Maguindanao in the Philippines. There are also pictures of the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon in the United States.

Joric's Bedroom

What can you do with a bare surface in your own bedroom? Consider installing shelves that can be used to store and display your favorite things.

In the kid's bedroom, these wooden ledges are ideal for the action figures and other knickknacks.

Glass Cabinet

The rest of the toys are kept in this tall glass cabinet next to his sleek study table.

Master Bedroom

According to the owner, the size of the master bedroom convinced her to buy this house! The gray walls, curtains, headboard, pillows, and bed linen help create an elegant and sophisticated feel.

Entertainment Area

Since most of the room is awash in gray, the interior designer brightened up the space with orange pillows and faux plants.

Leather Chest

A corner of the entertainment area is adorned with a vintage leather chest from Christofer Laurent.

Master Bathroom

It's hard not to fall in love with this master bathroom! We were surprised by the sleek and polished appeal of the built-in shelves and cabinets. We also liked the simple yet luxurious bathtub paired with a wooden bench used for bath products and other essentials.
