As the years go by, a family can grow and their needs can change. To accommodate new members and evolving lifestyles, some houses – such as this one owned by a brood from Bacolod – must be expanded. With the help of interior designer Kristine Neri-Magturo, a new wing connected to the original home was built.

The extension of the home, which includes a lanai and two bedrooms, has a contemporary design complemented by solid wood antique furniture from the family’s collection. Aside from using vintage Filipino pieces in a modern setting, Kristine used old doors from the family’s farmhouse in Sagay City alongside door frames and floors made from recycled wood.
