Divisoria Finds Complete this 17sqm Unit in Manila
What it lacks in floor space, it makes up for in ambiance

It can be puzzling to some why many are purchasing condo units that measure 21sqm and below. After all, how can one live comfortably in such a small space? How will you be able to invite friends over or even add a cabinet for your belongings? These are just some of the questions others may have. Just like those who’ve invested in a condo unit in the city, Annalyn has plans of turning the 17sqm unit she purchased in Manila into a rental home. “It’s a prime location. Tapat lang ng UST, it’s a hotel-style development, may diagnostic clinic sa baba then magkakaroon pa ng bars and restaurants sa taas. It’s going to be a full-service vertical community kaya kumuha kami. Ang target lessee namin mga nagpapagamot or doctors,” she shares.
After seeing a unit designed by interior designer Willie Garcia on realliving.com.ph, Annalyn had a vision of what she wanted to achieve in the space. “Gusto ko sana same color scheme, may blue, may recycled pieces. Yung feel, basta pagpasok mo hindi cramped, relaxed ka agad. Masarap mag-stay,” Annalyn adds. Though they had to work on a few adjustments during the renovation period, they were still able to achieve an inviting, homey feel. What we love best about the whole project? Most of the pieces in the unit were bought in Tutuban and Divisoria. They also shopped for ready-made furniture instead of buying custom-made pieces. “The best thing about having a small space is easy maintenance. You’ll learn to live a simple life and edit your belongings,” the owner adds.
