See How This Empty 28sqm Condo Unit Transformed Into a Relaxing Home
Simple and clean
Living in a small space requires careful planning that centers on storage and functionality—but that doesn’t mean that aesthetics should take a back seat.
In this 28sqm condo unit located in Makati, interior and architecture studio Hurray Design managed to open up the area without making it look too plain.
Before
After
For a unified look, the trick is to stick to a palette: Hurray Design went with calming browns, beiges, and grays. With a small floor area, it's a must to give the illusion of depth, and the team opted for a combination of 3M DIC-NOC Interior Film from Wallcrown Philippines for an organic-looking contrast against the unit’s shiplap paneling in Ducco White.
Furniture pieces from Furniture Source's available IKEA lines are kept simple but hardworking. Storage boxes offer additional surface area, stools are stackable, and other essentials can be hidden under desks or be kept in corners.
One piece that we love is the IVAR foldable table. It can act as a dining table and a mini pantry that unobtrusively tucks in after use.
