Blush and Boho Details Complete This One-Bedroom Condo in Makati
With the owner's Pinterest board as guide, The Style Hobbyist Julienne Cruz created an Instagram-worthy halfway home filled with whimsical touches
Once you enter this 60sqm condo unit in Makati, you’ll immediately notice the soft colors chosen for the walls and the captivating string lights that hang above the dining area. “Since the user is a millennial, I had to learn things about them. I watched movies on Netflix like To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and Sierra Burgess is a Loser to observe the bedrooms. These kids love string lights,” stylist Julienne Cruz exclaims. The tiny bulbs, which are reminiscent of backyard parties and music festivals, add to the Boho feel of the space. “This unit will be used by Patricia, the daughter of Wen, a colleague from work. Patricia is a consistent honor student who studies Law. Wen just gave me the link to her daughter’s Pinterest board and I took it from there,” she adds.
Julienne was able to achieve the picture-perfect aesthetic in just six weeks and with work done mostly on weekends. Wen wanted to have an Instagrammable halfway home for her daughter and Julienne was able to deliver that and more by carefully choosing the color scheme, the wallpapers to be used, the décor, and the hints of blush that will be incorporated into the final look. “This project unleashed my girly-ness! My normal side is androgynous and most of my clients are male,” she shares with a laugh. From the pretty study area to the lovely bedroom, this condo unit has nooks that will have guests snapping away.
