Many people are now investing in condo units in major cities that they can live in or rent out to young professionals and small families. Since the owners of this three-bedroom haven in The Grove, Pasig City wanted to lease out the space, they wanted to make it attractive and comfortable for possible renters.

In order to create a space that would appeal to more people, interior designers Ann Katherine Dee-Santiago and Mark Bryan See chose a modern contemporary look with a touch of Scandinavian design. According to the designers, these streamlined elements and the neutral color scheme can make the area ideal for a lot of people, regardless of their gender, age, and lifestyle.

Living Area

The living area is furnished with a gray sofa bed that can be the perfect spot for sitting or sleeping. This dual-purpose piece can help the possible renters to save on space and entertain family and friends.

Living Area

The sofa bed is paired with cool industrial-style sidetables that can also be used as storage bins. It is now topped with a metal lamp and filled with a few magazines.

Metal Basket and Wooden Shoe Lasts

Another metal basket is used to store a decorative pair of wooden shoe lasts and a stack of magazines.

Living Area Wall

Also living in a rented space? Instead of drilling holes in walls, you can place wall art on the floor. Keep them from falling over with a few coffee table books.

Living and Dining Areas

Since the space is comparatively small, the living and dining areas had to share the same space. In order to distinguish the two areas, the designers had a different style for the dining area ceiling. They highlighted the dropped ceiling with a basic pendant lamp.

Dining Area

For a clean and elegant feel, the designers opted for basic furniture with clean lines and neutral hues in the dining area. The black, white, and brown combination helps create a timeless feel in the small space.

Clock and Horse

The cabinet near the dining table is adorned with a George Nelson-inspired clock and a wooden horse with a distressed finish.

In the kitchen, the interior designers filled the gap between the white ceiling and the overhead cabinets and built a counter ledge in front of the sink to avoid spillage. In order to save money, they decided to stick to the standard kitchen cabinets that came with the condo unit.

Master Bedroom

The bedroom is a soothing and relaxing sight for the eyes, especially at the end of a tiring day at school or work. The interior designers were able to create this look by choosing cool-hued neutrals and avoiding bulky furniture pieces.

The interior designers made the most of the limited space by mounting a shelf under the ceiling. This shelf can be used to store and display the future renter's favorite things.

Study Area

The interior designers turned the third bedroom into a home office. This is ideal for those who like to work from home.
