Finding the right professional who can turn your dream space into reality can be credited to resourcefulness and serendipity. When Ryan bought this unit in Taguig, he started gathering pegs from Real Living, Pinterest, magazines, and a couple of TV shows. After the unit’s turnover, the next step was to find professionals he can collaborate with. Luckily, his sister has connections, making it easier for him to form a dream team. “Fortunately, her friend is an interior designer and her high school batchmate was a contractor. The rest is history,” he exclaims.

Since the owner wanted to have a place he can call his man cave, he chose an industrial style, an aesthetic also inspired by an industrial-themed hotel he stayed in while visiting New York. Interior designer Irene Reyes took into consideration Ryan’s inputs and made adjustments when necessary. “She did a good job in converting my ideas into an actual perspective design. I am based overseas and we do most of the coordination via email. She also coordinated with the contractor,” says Ryan. Given the condo’s rules, the entire renovation took five months to finish. “I learned that you really need to be patient for a complete unit renovation as there are many factors that may extend the timeline of the project,” the owner quips. From having a captivating compact kitchen to showcasing a cozy bedroom, this unit has everything one needs for a relaxing life in the city.
