If not for a couple of feminine pieces, like the fashion accessories incorporated into her home’s décor, one would think that marketing manager and fashion blogger Lana Tiotuyco’s condo unit is a bachelor pad. Which is a good thing considering her goal is for it not to look like a girl’s space.

The 45sqm unit was originally two 22.5sqm units that Lana decided to open up to make the condo seem big, airy, and spacious. With the help of her contractor, she was able to achieve her peg, which was a Scandinavian-style apartment with clean lines, and a monochrome palette. True to her peg, the walls painted in white and her choice of black furniture make good contrast.

To break the monochrome, Lana chose red accessories, like the floor lamp in the living area and the red-wired bulb in the dining area. Her bedroom’s color palette is no different and exudes the same vibe as the rest of the unit. Instead of her chunky rings and statement neckpieces that show her interest in fashion, it is her shoe collection, lined up on the floor, that finishes the look. While her sartorial choices can be seen all around her place, it was her need for a serene space that influenced the overall design of the unit.
