As the sons of basketball player/comedian Benjie Paras and actress Jackie Forster, brothers Kobe and Andre Paras somehow grew up under the spotlight. While the two tried to live normal lives away from showbiz, it’s quite inevitable to escape the headlines given their family name. Kobe continues to make a mark in basketball, while Andre is busy juggling shows, movies, and basketball, too.

In a feature published in YES! Magazine last September 2017, the Paras family opened the doors of their three-storey modern Asian home in Pasig to give readers a peek into their fun and laid-back home life. Standing on a 400sqm lot, the house features airy and spacious common areas, inviting bedrooms, and a homey vibe that fits the close-knit family. Benjie and his wife Lyxen worked in tandem to finalize the home’s interiors, taking inspiration from different magazines and Fixer Upper, their favorite show on HGTV. “’Yong wife ko kasi, we’d always watch HGTV, and then titingin sa magazines. ‘Tapos, magka-canvass kami, kasi ‘yong iba mahal. Ang kukunin namin e ‘yong mirror image n’ong gusto namin [na furniture],” the doting father shares.
