Check Out Jennylyn Mercado & Dennis Trillo’s Charming Mountain Hideaway
It has a greenhouse, several viewing decks, and much more.

Lots of celebrities have been investing in properties outside of the city so that they can escape from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives. Among them are Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo, who are now the proud owners of a lovely home up in the mountains of Rizal.
The couple previously gave a sneak peek of their mountaintop hideaway through a video on Jennylyn’s YouTube channel, but now, they have given fans a full look into every part of the property. With its charming design and awe-inspiring views, it’s no wonder the couple and their kids want to spend lots of time here!
Have a tour of Jennylyn and Dennis’ idyllic escape up in the mountains:
Exterior
All of the houses in the property were constructed out of containers. The ground floor of the main house consists of three 40-foot containers with high ceilings, while the second floor comprises two 40-foot containers with high ceilings.
The couple revealed that they originally decided to use containers because they thought it would be easier. Eventually, though, they realized this was not the case. Dennis explained, “Mas mahirap pala kasi kailangan namin siyang i-transport dito sa malayong lugar, dito sa Rizal area.”
You’ll also notice that the houses are spread out. As for why, Jennylyn shared, “Hindi na namin pinagsama-sama bilang hiwa-hiwalay din naman ‘yong mga containers. Mas maganda na tingnan na ikalat namin siya dito sa area.”

Guesthouse
Though small, the guesthouse is full of charm and heart. It has a bunk bed, a love seat, a well-equipped kitchen, and a compact bathroom. Plus, here’s another super special feature you’re going to want to check out: Because space here is limited, instead of installing a TV, Dennis and Jennylyn decided to incorporate a projector screen so that guests can still watch their favorite movies and TV shows during their stay!
Guesthouse Deck
Accessible via a set of stairs on the side of the guesthouse is a little deck area that offers an expansive view of Tanay and the Laguna de Bay. You also get an unobstructed view of the deck of the main house from here.
Greenhouse
This quaint greenhouse was actually created by Dennis’ father!
The crops being grown here vary widely and include vegetables like lettuce, arugula, and kale. Dennis added that according to his dad, the veggies grown here tend to turn out better than the ones grown in their other greenhouses: “Dito kasi, perfect ‘yong weather condition. … ‘Yong klima din dito, malamig, mahangin. Tsaka gumagamit siya ng hydroponics na parang filtered water ‘yong gamit, kaya ‘yon, mas mataba ‘yong tubo ng halaman.”

Main House Deck
Right off of the master bedroom is the deck of the main house, which offers a breathtaking view of the entire property and of Laguna de Bay. There are also several pieces of outdoor furniture so that Jennylyn, Dennis, and their family can rest while watching the sunrise or sunset.
“Kahit gaano ka kapagod galing trabaho, pagkadating mo dito, nakaka-relax,” Jennylyn gushed. “Tsaka iba’t ibang setting ‘yong nakikita mo. Iba’t ibang setting ng araw, iba’t ibang setting ng clouds, kaya … panibagong experience palagi.”
Main House Outdoor Dining Area
Right outside of the main house is an outdoor dining area that has, among others, a large dining table that can fit up to 10 people. There is also a table that can be used for playing billiards, table tennis, or air hockey, depending on which one you want. You can utilize the BBQ grill for fun meals. Lastly, there is a spar bar here, which Dennis often uses to work out. You can also access the laundry area from here.
