Bea Alonzo Turned Her Family Room Into A Chic New Gym
Suddenly we feel like working out!
If, like us, you've seen all of Bea Alonzo's YouTube videos, then you know that she's been renovating the third floor of her house to turn it into a more "functional" space: a gym! In her house tour vlog, you may remember that it used to be a family room, where her cousins hung out and played games (the walls were even padded to keep the space soundproof). Right next to it was her mini gym, complete with a sauna!
Now, she's moved all of her equipment out of that room—adding a few more to her home gym—and into what used to be the entertainment space in the house. By the door, Bea added a sign: "One day at a time." And the cool part is she can change the colors of the lights with her phone!
The actress explained, "Lagi akong bumabalik diyan because I am an overthinker. Sometimes, it gives me anxiety to think about what's going to happen in the future. 'Magagawa ko ba o hindi? May output ba o hindi?'...Kahit hindi mo pa nakikita yung output, you should always take it one day at a time 'cause you will always get there." This is something she applies to her fitness journey as well.
We see her multifunctional squat machine first, which is conveniently compact kasi limited lang yung space. According to Bea, "ang dami mong puwedeng gawin dito"—not just squats! Right behind is a rack for all her exercise balls.
She also owns a rowing machine, a piece of equipment she uses for cardio when she does HIIT workouts; this one specifically is for "active rest."
Bea shared that she wanted plants in her gym because she still wants the place to be "calming."
There's also a bar table and some stools because likes to have a cup of coffee while listening to music before a sweat sesh.
If you're wondering what happened to her old gym, Bea turned it into a studio for yoga and possible pilates classes.
