Even as celebrities, Ariel Rivera and Gelli de Belen still lead a “normal life” with their two sons, Joaqui and Julio. Family ranks on top of their priorities, with Gelli looking after their children’s needs, and Ariel on forming bonds and imposing discipline on them.

This simple goal stems from way back. Gelli, for one, admits to having had a competitive phase when she was younger, until she realized that “there’s more to life than [working].” On the other hand, Ariel has always wanted to be a good father and a good husband. “That’s my only goal in life. If anything else comes after that, it’s all bonuses. Work, health—that’s good. Pero my goal in life is to be a good father and a good husband,” he relates.

These beliefs translate to their house’s interiors. Gelli, for one, is admittedly simple. “Basta meron akong bahay, meron akong TV, meron akong higaan, maayos ’yong kitchen chorva namin.” All of these are exactly what one can find in the Rivera home, if not more.
