3 Types Of Grass You Need For Your Garden

No green corner is complete without a lush lawn

When it comes to gardening, you probably don't think about grass on a day-to-day to basis, in fact, it might be way down below your list of gardening priorities. In reality, however, it is more than just bedding for your plants. After all, a muddy base takes away from the beauty of flowering shrubs and tall trees. To help you decide which one suits your garden best, here are some types to choose from:

Carabao Grass

This type of grass is coarse, with pale green leaves that are narrow, flat and thin. This is widely used because, unlike the other two types, it survives in semi-shaded areas. The downside is that it grows rapidly and needs frequent mowing, especially during the rainy season.

Bermuda Grass

This makes for good garden material because of its carpet-like quality. It is also used to control soil erosion in steep, sloping terrain. The bright green leaves are slender, creeping, and can grow up to two to three centimeters.

It is also known as Korean carpet grass. It is compact, has shallow roots, and makes for fine cover. Its pointy leaves are finer and denser than bermuda. Bluegrass can thrive in areas fully exposed to sunlight.
