Bea Alonzo Gives a Tour of Her New Vegetable Garden In Her Farm In Zambales
The actress gives us a tour!

In March 2021, Bea Alonzo virtually welcomed people inside their family's farm in Zambales, Beati Firma. They acquired the land in 2011, and back then, even Bea wasn't sure about the decision: "Back then, I was very young. Naisip ko, 'Kaya na ba naming mag-farm? Is it worth it? Matututukan ba namin?" Needless to say, they've done a pretty great job at growing the land. Since then, we've also gotten a tour of their gorgeous, rustic farm house and a cooking tutorial that left people *hungry*.
A work in progress, the latest addition to their land is a vegetable garden!
Bea and her mom take us through "Mary's Secret Garden," which includes sitaw, talong, okra, and mais. First stop, they show us the sitaw area. There, they used bamboo so the plants have something to crawl on. Fun fact: You can grow this vegetable in less than two months!
Next, they head to the "talong section." Eggplant takes roughly around the same time as sitaw to grow before you can harvest it.
The tour is cut short because of the rain, but Bea says that this is something she's thankful for because it nourishes their farm. Hopefully, we get to see more of their veggie garden in the future!
