What can you do with a 24sqm homeThe Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) graduating students explore the possibilities through Studio 24, an interior design exhibit with 24 different units that measure 24 square meters each.

One of the 24 spaces is a studio unit for Vino, a Spanish-Filipino widower who is passionate about fine wine and ancestral houses. Here are the 4 things that we loved the most in this particular home:

The Pinoy Details

How can you transform a modern space into a Bahay-na-Bato-inspired home? Pay attention to the details! For this space, students Arlyssa Emlano, Melissa Gonzalez, and Charmaine Yu chose ceiling panels, brick walls, callado-inspired trimmings, stone and Machuca tiles, and wooden furniture.

The Antique Furniture

Investing in traditional pieces is the easiest way to add a Filipino touch to your home. For this dining area, the students chose Charles II chairs with solihiya backs.

The Capiz-Lined Doors

A Bahay-na-Bato is also defined by the Capiz-lined doors and windows. However, you can also use this classic Filipino material for your kitchen cabinets!

The Concealed Appliances

Modern appliances and gadgets can look out of place in an ancestral house-inspired space. In order to stay true to the Filipino influences of the home, the design team kept the washing machine and dryer hidden inside a wooden cabinet.

Studio 24 will run from October 3 to 31, 2015 at the Ronac Lifestyle Center, Paseo de Magallanes, Makati City. Admission is free.
