Your bathroom may be small but you can make it a cut above the rest.

Draw attention to your walls.

Distract your eyes from the small floor area by adorning your walls with attention- grabbing details. Be inspired by 144 Café’s powder room! The hand- painted, black- and- white graphics become the highlight, drawing attention from the compact space.

Create drama with moody colors and lighting.

Brown marble dresses up this bathroom in one of Acqua Iguazu’s model units, making it sleek and sophisticated. Complete the drama with warm lighting for a mysterious, seductive glow.

Divide with flair.

Conceal your shower area with a patterned glass divider. Take inspiration from this model unit’s bathroom at Acqua Livingstone, the Missoni print on the glass shower enclosure not only decorates the space but also adds a bit of privacy.

Distinguish areas with the use of different materials.

In this bathroom in Solano Hills’s model unit, the shower area is decked with wood- patterned ceramic tiles, different from those surrounding the toilet and sink. The glass partition and accent tiles, however, provide continuity between the two distinct areas.

Let the outdoors in.

Designer, model, and TV host Isabel Roces made her narrow bathroom appear more spacious by placing a glass sliding door at the end. There, she incorporated a small garden that feels like an extension of the space.

Bring in some greens.

No garden to spill out onto? Bring live plants in to create an organic feel in your diminutive bathroom, just like in this powder room at Avellana Art Gallery. The wooden side table adds another natural element, while the huge mirror visually enhances the space.
