It's easy to fall into the trap of being too plain and basic when trying to achieve a minimalist home, but while this type of design may encourage simplicity and open spaces, it doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be monotonous. A minimalist home can most definitely still have splashes of color, and as long as it's done with restraint, those well-placed hues can actually be the highlight of your home.
