Jumpstart Your Day: A Charming Built-in Office Nook

From a dark basement corner, this space is now cozy and functional

Mandy of the House of Rose blog shared the inspiring transformation of her basement from a dark and cramped space into a stylish and functional part of the house. What used to be an area filled with the family's essentials -- it now features a comfy sofa, a huge TV, and a built-in office nook. See more photos below.

Mandy's father created the built-in bookshelves that hold decor pieces and other knickknacks. Since storage is of utmost importance in any space, extra baskets were added and displayed as well.

The corner was inspired by Pinterest --- where Mandy gets her ideas. The chair with floral print works well with the overall white theme of the nook. The extra seating bench on the side of the table was meant for Many's little boys who love to sit with her whenever she's surfing the Internet.
