Easy Ways To Jazz Up Your Living Area
These simple tips will instantly freshen up the look of your living area
The living room is the area most commonly used for receiving guests, which makes it necessary to keep this room looking neat and stylish. But revamping the look of your receiving area doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. Let these simple tips help you elevate your living room into a comfortable space that you and your guests can enjoy.
Feel like entertaining but don’t have enough room for additional chairs? Keep some pillows in a trunk or a baul, and you’ll get extra seating without the bulk. Pillows are much easier to keep than chairs, and they’re also more comfortable. Plus, your trunk or baul can double as a side table as well.
Hang your lights
Nix your dirty table lamps and replace them with hanging lamps! These will free space that you can use to create a nice vignette. Using a hanging lamp is also unexpected and chic, and can light a large area better than a small lamp can.
Invest in stools
Stools and ottoman seats are cute and modern, but they can get in the way sometimes. The solution? Keep them neatly tucked underneath your console table. These will fill up that empty space and be easily accessible for when you might need them.
Keep your remotes under control
One common living area problem is scattered remote controls. A simple way would be to keep these in order by storing them in a shallow bowl, a platter, or a small tray.
Screen it off
Television sets are a staple in living rooms now, but whenever you want to have some guests come over, sometimes you may wish your TV weren’t so visible. To hide it whenever necessary, block it off with a divider or a decorative folding screen, which will be light enough to move around and definitely nicer to look at.
