6 Decorating Tips from a Bedroom in Taguig

A practical guide inspired by a space designed by design consultant Elle Uy

What can you do if you want to improve your home but you are faced with certain limitations? If you want to have a better space but you don't have enough money or you still live with your parents, you may want to start with your bedroom first.

Working on your bedroom can help develop your decorating skills and prepare you for a complete renovation. It can also be a therapeutic way to create a cozy and comfortable space that you can truly call your own.

Choose a style

Before anything else, you can choose the design that you would like to follow. Look at design websites, blogs, and Instagram accounts and save the photos that you are most interested in. You can print out the pictures and compile them in a folder. Browse through the folder and leave post-its on the details that you like the best. This will make it easier for you to decorate your bedroom.

Find a tall shelf

Does your bedroom look dull and uninspiring? You can remove unused furniture pieces and bring in a tall shelf instead. A tall shelf can be used to store and display your items.

Pick unusual decor

You don't need to splurge on home accessories! Find unique pieces around your homethese won't cost a thing and will also hold special meaning.

Create an accent wall

Instead of a headboard, you can hang a kitschy deerhead and different prints. Experiment with all kinds of colors and patterns for a playful look.

Change pillow covers

If you don't have a lot of extra cash, you can replace your pillowcases! Make your bed inviting by choosing pillows with different fabrics, textures, and designs.

Opt for animal decor

In this bedroom, design consultant Elle Uy chose a few animal accessories, including this blue deerhead hanging above the bed.

At the foot of the bed is a charming ceramic owl stool. This blue piece can be used as a side table.

We also spotted adorable owl paperweights placed above a stack of magazines.
