5 Unique Color Combinations For The Kitchen

Believe it or not, you don’t always have to stick to neutrals

When it comes to styling cooking corners, most homeowners choose to play it safe—a lot of people stick to a palette of whites, beiges, and dark browns. However, once in a while, a handful would stray from the path of neutrals and try a bright hue only to find that it delivers delightful results. To inspire you, here are a few kitchens packed with personality that you can use as pegs:

1. Black and white

It’s no secret that this classic pairing will never go out of style. To give your kitchen a design boost and keep it easy-to-clean at the same time, go ahead and take the plunge with deep hues.

RL Tip: If you don’t want to repaint your kitchen, you can go with a tiled backsplash instead. Visit Wilcon Depot at 90, E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Ugong Norte Murphy, Libis, Quezon City.

2. Pink and gray

These two colors make up the perfect combination of elegance and approachability. The pastel pink gives your cooking corner an inviting vibe while the muted gray makes it a sophisticated space.

RL Tip: For the hints of gray, it doesn’t always have to be paint or wallpaper. Unfinished concrete can give the same feel and give your home a rustic-industrial look.

3. Salmon Pink and Yellow Orange

If you need a match that will bring your space to life, don’t be afraid to play with more vibrant shades. This combination doesn’t only serve as a mood booster for lazy mornings, it gives the space depth with the contrast of colors, too.

4. Brown and Red

While brown is considered a neutral, you can pair it with a saturated shade like red to keep the look fresh. You can also add fire-engine red chairs to streamline the look.

RL Tip: For more stylish refrigerator options, visit the Smeg showroom at G/F Parkview Terraces, West St. cor. Arnaiz Avenue, Makati City.

5. Lime Green and Sky Blue

Who says neon and pastels don’t go together? As long as you choose two complementary colors with cool undertones, your combination will be a surefire winner. Accessorize with neutral accessories to balance out the look.
