“A classic-styled kitchen is something that is timeless. This certain style cannot be outdated even after so many years,” shares interior designer Peaches de Guzman-Grey. If you would like to create this style in your kitchen at home, here are a couple of ideas that can help and inspire you.

Pick neutral colors

When creating a timeless look for the kitchen, a neutral color scheme will work best for your cabinets and walls. Colors like white, gray, or cream are versatile colors that are very relaxing and flexible to any design. If you have a small kitchen, these hues can visually enlarge your space.

Opt for basic patterns

When looking for accessories to add to your kitchen, go for simple patterns like checkered or even striped pot holders and towels to maintain the minimalist look of your kitchen. It’s also helpful to pick hues that add a happy vibe to your space.

Choose concealed cupboards

The kitchen can easily become cluttered if you leave your pantry items everywhere! “Veer away from glass and see-through cabinets because this takes a lot of time maintaining,” Peaches adds. Concealed cupboards are ideal as they also give the space a uniformed and neat look.

Add rustic elements

Add warmth to your kitchen by creating a rustic vibe. Add wooden kitchenware, accessories, and tools. These pieces can add a relaxed and homey feel to the kitchen. As extra storage solutions, you can also add woven baskets on top of the refrigerator or hang them on one wall.
