4 Color Options to Perk Up Your Space

Colors can instantly transform a space. Whether it's a fresh coat of paint or a few decorative accessories in vibrant hues, it can brighten up a plain and dull area. But how do you choose the best color? Do you simply go with your favorite shade? How about soothing neutrals that add a stylish touch to a room? 

If you can't decide, interior designer Van Acuna-Solana shares these four colors that you can use to inject liveliness to your home and the significance of each:

Blue – such as turquoise, teal, and powder blue, to name a few, is very fresh and vibrant. This color works well with white and it never goes out of style.

Consider using it in the living area or bedroom for a calming effect. It's also an ideal choice for coastal chic and nautical-inspired rooms.

Lavender or Lilac is the top choice of teenage girls for their rooms, it stimulates the brain and reflects light well. It gives any space a sense of depth and sophistication.

Green reminds us of nature and elicits a soothing effect. You can pair it neutral tones.

Yellow reminds us of summer and can be used in almost all parts of the house, especiall in the kitchen. Since its a cheerful and bright color, it can help liven up a drab room.
