You Can Give Your Space a New Look Using Subway Tiles

Let these three suggestions show you how

To say that subway tiles are hot must-haves lately would be an understatement. We’ve seen it in different homes and commercial establishments, and to say that we haven’t thought about using it in our own spaces would be a lie. Aside from using them in the kitchen and bathroom—as is, here are three new ways to work with subway tiles that can give your home a refreshing new look:

Use tinted grout

Subway tiles can serve as a focal point in a room but if you want to enhance the look further, you can inject a bit of fun and color into the space by choosing colored or tinted grout. Pick a hue that blends well with the rest of your interiors. For a few basic tips, click here

Experiment with a new pattern

Just like any other tile, subway tiles are often laid out traditionally—either in a vertical or horizontal pattern. Think outside the box and consider a herringbone pattern. Named after its resemblance to a bone of the fish, it features tiles forming a V-shape that seem to intersect.

Pair it with metallic fixtures

Enhance the look of your space by choosing the right fixtures that can complement your subway tiles. Consider having a brass sink or even vintage-inspired knobs and handles.
