Single-room-living has become the norm these days, and the studio unit is the most ubiquitous—and affordable—city home. And thankfully, the sofa bed is no longer the sole solution to sleeping arrangements, as there are multiple ways to add and camouflage a real bed (or two!) in a studio home. Check out these ideas:

Cocooned by storage

Design HQ filled Stephanie’s studio unit with amazing storage solutions, such as these geometric shelves for the owner’s large collection of travel books and magazines. The shelves also serve as a privacy partition for her sleeping area.

Curtained and screened off

This may be the tiniest condo home we’ve featured, but it is definitely one of the most stylish. Designed by RG Rosso, a Hong Kong-based design firm, this studio never lacks for small-space ideas, like how a wood-and-wire panel and sheer gray curtain give privacy to the sleeping area and separate it from the kitchen.

Recycled
