Here's an Easy Way to Remove Sticker Residue on Your Glass Jars
You'll only need two kitchen ingredients!
There are plenty of ways you can repurpose your empty food jars and bottles. The only problem? Peeling off the labels on the containers tend to leave behind a sticky residue! It's usually a pain to remove, and it can be quite unpleasant to look at, too, especially when the jars and bottles are displayed on open shelves.Â
Luckily, we discovered a simple yet effective hack from Youtuber Maggie Woodley of Red Ted Art. You'll only need two ingredients from your kitchen: baking soda and cooking oil!Â
To get you started, mix two teaspoons of baking soda and two teaspoons of cooking oil in a bowl. Apply the mixture on any sticky residue on the jar or bottle, and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Then, using a sponge, scrub the container clean. Wash the glass jar or bottle with dish soap to remove excess oil, and rinse it off.Â
We tried this easy solution on an almost-empty bottle of olive oil—and we're happy to report that it worked!
