Why You Need A Can Of WD-40 In Your Kitchen
This garage staple can be useful for cleaning, too.
It's safe to say that every household has an ubiquitous blue and yellow can of WD-40 in storage. Little did we know, there's more to it beyond being used to polish metal items. Harness its full power by maximizing it with these home hacks:
- It can smoothly remove sticker residue. If you have new glasses, plates or any type of dinnerware, you can use a dab of WD-40 to remove labels and price tags without hassle. You can also use it to remove labels from jars you plan on recycling.
- It's fingerprint-proof! Do you hate prints on steel appliances as much as we do? WD-40 may also be used to clean and repel fingerprints from stainless pieces. Use a paper towel to buff it in.
- It can remove mildew. If you have stubborn mildew spots on your refrigerator or dishwasher gaskets, all you have to do is apply some WD-40, let it sit for a bit, and wipe it off. It will surely be good as new.
- It can loosen jamming drawers. Got sticky and tough-to-open drawers in your kitchen? A bit of WD-40 will make them glide smoothly again.
