Vodka Can Make Your Home Smell Good All Day Long

Do you love having a sweet-smelling home as much as we do? Believe it or not, the answer to foul odors is sitting on your booze shelf—it's called vodka. It acts like rubbing alcohol, except it's a little less harsh, so it can kill a lot of odor-causing bacteria. More importantly, it works well in bathrooms, fabrics, carpets and even in shoes, too.

What you need: 

  • ¾ cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of vodka 
  • A variety of essential oils (whatever you're using) 
  • A spray bottle 


How-to: 

1. In your spray bottle, combine the water and vodka. Shake well.  

2. Choose the scent you want to go with! If you enjoy earthy notes, combine 4 drops of cinnamon, 3 drops of vanilla and 2 drops of ginger essential oils. For a more floral aroma, feel free to use up to 10 drops of lavender essential oils.
