DIY: Powdered Laundry Detergent
Fresh, toxin-free and clean clothes—no matter how many loads
It comes as no surprise that powdered detergent is a mainstay in every Filipino laundry area. Unlike its liquid counterpart, it is the cheaper option and it can be used in more ways than one. However, similar to other mass-produced cleaners, most of these are made with a ton of chemicals or is extended with a ton of chalk making it less effective. If you’ve been looking for a natural substitute, we’ve got you covered. Check out this recipe for an easy, organic laundry soap:
What you need:
- Cut the bars of soap into large chunks then place it inside the food processor together with the washing soda.
- Keep it in the processor until you're left with white, fine powder.
- Pour into a clean and dry container or jar.
- Use as you would store-bought detergent.
