Every year, stylists, artists, and design enthusiasts look forward to Pantone's official Color of the Year announcement. To say that it's a special time is an understatement as everyone simply can't wait to play with the chosen color—may it be through art, food, and home decor. For 2017, Greenery is the hue of choice—a vibrant and energetic color that reminds us of the beautiful outdoors. If you're just as excited as we are to integrate it into our aesthetic, here are some ideas you can try:

1. Repaint your walls.

Reenergize a tired living area by giving your walls a fresh coat of this lively color—it is said that shades of green can help relax and rejuvenate the mind after a stressful day. Keep it from looking over the top by only doing an accent wall or experimenting with color blocking.

RL Tip: If you're only starting to introduce color to your home, you can test the look by painting your front door or window frames first.

2. Bring in green wonders.

For the perfect touch of green, indoor plants are the obvious choice. Hit two birds with one stone by choosing ones that are multipurpose—put food on your table by growing an herb garden, clear the air at home with natural purifiers or avoid additional chores with low-maintenance shrubs

3. Switch up your furniture.

For those who don't want to commit to green walls for an entire year, you can do it through your furniture. There's no need to buy an all-new set, too—feel free to refurbish an old couch or simply dress it up in bright green pillows and throws.

4. Add hints of greenery through accessories.

If you're not big on following trends but still want to bring a dash of green to your personal space, you can do it by styling a vignette of small trinkets and decor pieces in similar shades. Make room for your setup on your bookshelves or any flat surface around your home!

RL Tip: Got no room on your shelves or side tables? Try a vertical display and hang greenery-inspired art or prints instead.
