The Hills are alive…

…with the sound of real estate. I was in my ‘hood—the little shire of Greenhills—going through the maze of the cultured pearl tiangge, when I stumbled upon the new buyer’s lounge of Circulo Verde. Now what is a real estate development doing in the middle of a shopping center? Just to let you know, it’s owned also by Ortigas and Co., so I guess it’s just fair to locate their showrooms there. In case you want to look for it, it’s by the Connecticut Arcade right next to Max’s.

At first glance, it looks like it was shoved right under the carpark, but once you go through the doors, you walk through this spacious buyer’s lounge…

…and then to the showrooms. Their Seville units at Calle Industria boast wraparound balconies, like this one for the two-bedroom unit…

…and rooms generous enough for a four-post bed in the three-bedroom unit…

Though needless to say, I am not liquid enough even for the downpayment!!! So back to the tiangge I went. Click here for more information.

estudyante blues

All that back to school shebang randomly brought back not-so-fond memories of my
one-year stay in a boarding house somewhere in Manila. I shared a room of shoebox proportions with three other girls I barely knew. Though the house was pretty decent and clean, I never found it homey and comforting enough to hang out in—just a place to take a quick bath and sleep in, and nothing more.

How I wish I lived instead in a spanking studio I could spruce up. If I were still a student, The Grand Towers (along Pablo Ocampo Sr. street in Malate, Manila) would’ve been an ideal option for me because of its close proximity to colleges and universities. The 42-storey double structure property by Moldex Realty is also just a stone’s throw away from LRT and Robinsons Place Ermita. And of course, I would love to take advantage of the condo amenities (swimming pool, Wi-Fi enabled study area, fitness center, jogging paths, and more). Aside from the student-friendly studios, it also has bigger units in one to three bedroom configurations for families who want to settle in Manila but live with the comforts of a Makati CBD-like condo.
